VOCATIONAL & EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS
The Village Centers offers individualized services to help each interested client prepare for, find, and retain a job.
The Village Centers Vocational Program aims to provide enriching and productive employment opportunities for individuals with IDD. This program is available to clients who attend The Village Centers Day Program.
The goal for The Village Centers Vocational Program is to enhance the lives of individuals with IDD and provide them with opportunities to gain job skills training and potentially enter the workforce.
The Village partners with several employers in the Houston area such as Reliant Vending, Kohl’s, and Walgreens to provide opportunities for clients of all capabilities to reach their full potential.
The Vocational Program enhances the mental and physical well-being of our Villagers by providing their lives with increased purpose, opportunities for socialization and friendship, and economic empowerment. Clients who find employment through The Village Centers Vocational Program generally exceed performance expectations and are lauded by their supervisors as model employees due to their focus, dedication, and strong work ethic.
