
ENRICHMENT PROGRAM INFORMATION
A crucial service offering provided by The Village Day Program is our Enrichment Program – where we provide specialized services to adults with IDD that require a higher level of need in meeting their basic activities of daily living. Services include assistance with mobility, feeding, toileting, behavior support, supervised administration of medications, and daily monitoring of overall health status and metrics.

Arts & Crafts
Participants will learn signing techniques to communicate and have non-verbal conversations with others. It is especially beneficial for those who have speech impairment or difficulty communicating. Participants will learn basic signs for everyday life.

Life Skills
Participants receive classroom instructions to discover their artistic abilities and creativity. Emphasis will be placed on active listening and following directions. Classes will include a variety of materials and techniques.
Thursday Community Outings
This is a specially coordinated set of activities aligned with the higher needs of the clients in the program. May include bowling, movies and parks

Music Hour
Includes both passive listening to a wide range of music, as well as actively participating through the use of rhythm band instruments and musical bells.
Sensory Hour
The focus is on activities that stimulate the 5 senses. This may include a variety tactile, visual, auditory tools and activities.
Friday Funday
This is a free day for any activities that the clients and staff enjoy doing as a group
